COVID-19 Update 3/30/20:
As a result of Governor Kate Brown's COVID-19 executive order for medical, dental and veterinarian clinics to delay "all elective and non-urgent procedures," I have been forced to temporarily suspend regular business hours and dental services. However, the order does allow for emergency procedures that would prevent "irreversible harm" from occuring if not performed immediately, but the Governor's definition of "irreversible harm" doesn't appear to include most dental related problems. So, the American Dental Association has offered this guidance for patients. While this may be an incredible inconvenience to you and may lead to some temporary discomfort; and while I am disappointed with the restriction on your oral health care, no one knows the severity of eventual outcomes of this COVID-19 virus outbreak. I hope that its effects will be minimal and end quickly, but we must all do our part to help save lives. On March 24th, our office donated an estimated 1,000 face masks, 6,000 gloves, and other "PPE" to the cause. We will be monitoring this fluid situation and circumstances can change quickly. When the restriction is lifted, we will be contacting our patients to reschedule their cancelled appointments as soon as possible. If you are a patient and would like a return call, please leave us a message. If you have an urgent emergency, you may also contact Dr. David Swiderski at (503) 581-0223. Thank you for your continued trust and understanding. Stay healthy, safe and keep smiling.
